How to Join us

Any person who has a lawyer's degree and recognized experience in the field of Water Law may be a member of the Association; without any limitation of sex, nationality or condition.

Active Member: are the founding members and lawyers with proven experience and/or knowledge in the field of Water Law whose application for admission is approved by the AChDA Board of Directors

The honorary members are the individuals of relevant merits to whom the General Assembly of the Association confers this distinction by a quorum of two thirds. Honorary members will have no obligation to the Association, but may participate with the right to speak in all the activities that the Board of Directors schedules for them, as well as in the General Assemblies.

Collaborating members are natural and legal persons, with or without profit, that contribute to the fulfillment of the purposes of the Association and its activities. They will have the right to participate and to hear in the activities of the Association, and their opinion will not be binding on it.

Application Process

The application for the incorporation of active members will be made in writing and signed letter by the interested party, it must be founded and sponsored by at least two active members. In this letter, the commitment of the applicant to faithfully comply with the Statutes, Regulations and agreements of the Board of Directors and the General Assembly will be recorded. The acceptance of the incorporation request will be decided with at least four favorable votes from the members of the Board of Directors.

The status of collaborating member is acquired by application for incorporation founded and sponsored by at least five active partners. In it, the complete individualization of the interested party must be indicated as that of his legal representative before the Association, his commitment to faithfully comply with the Statutes, Regulations and agreements of the Board of Directors and of the General Assembly and his permanent or occasional availability to contribute to the financing, management and development of the activities of the Association and its bodies. The acceptance of the application for incorporation will require five favorable votes from the members of the Board of Directors for its acceptance.
